Our first thought when we’re figuring out what to give fans as a must-have digital memento of an event we’re working is to look at the property and try to understand the wish we’re fulfilling.
In the case of THE EXPANSE, the nerve-shredding SyFy series from Alcon Entertainment, we set out to let fans inhabit the universe of their heroes, float in their footsteps and – hopefully – live to tell the tale.
Complimenting Giant Spoon‘s enthralling escape room experience at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 (pictured below) the creative was adapted from campaign key art into an animated and immersive motion poster available in various formats optimised for sharing on key platforms.

Almost 2,000 guests came through across the 4 days delivering 2,400+ downloads/posts, with some fans posting to multiple channels. Planned, developed and executed in less than a month, it was a compact and cost-effective demonstration that it only takes a few small steps to let fans take their giant leap.
